Meet the Doctor

Dr. Eswar Mangala, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Mangala has been dedicated to dentistry for over a decade, bringing both skill and compassion to every patient he serves. He graduated as a dentist in India in 2012, where he began his career before moving to Canada. For over a decade he has been proudly practising here, helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles.

He is especially known for his gentle, patient-centred approach. With extensive experience caring for nervous patients and children, he works to create a calm, supportive environment where every patient feels comfortable and understood — taking the time to explain each option clearly before any treatment begins.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with his family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. We are currently accepting new patients of all ages, from children through to seniors. You can request an appointment online or call us at (236) 429-4809.

Where are you located, and who do you serve?

We are at 2150 Western Parkway, Unit 215, Vancouver, BC V6T 1V6 — in Wesbrook Village on the UBC campus. We regularly see UBC students and staff, Point Grey and Dunbar families, and patients from across Vancouver's west side.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We are closed Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Sunday appointments mean you do not have to take time off work or miss class.

Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

Yes — we are now accepting the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). We also work with a variety of private insurance plans and are happy to help you understand what your coverage includes. Read more about the CDCP here.

Will I know the cost before treatment starts?

Yes. We give you up-front cost information on your treatment before it begins. We also offer a number of in-office payment options and financing to help spread the cost, and we will help you make the most of any insurance coverage you have.

I get anxious at the dentist. Can you help?

This is one of the things we are known for. Dr. Mangala has extensive experience with nervous patients and children, and the whole team is used to working at a slower pace when that is what someone needs. We explain what is happening before we do it, and we stop whenever you ask. Sedation dentistry is also available for patients who would prefer it.
